Multiclone Manufacturing and Design

BCE multiclones effectively remove large to moderate-sized particles from air streams for recovery or disposal using centrifugal forces.

How Multiclones Work

Air flows through the cylindrical tubes at high speeds, creating centrifugal forces that cause the solid material to cling to the outer surface and continue a downward spiral, separating. At the same time, clean air exits through the center.

Separation Process

  • Contaminated air enters through tangential inlet
  • High velocity creates centrifugal forces within cylindrical tubes
  • Particles are forced to outer walls
  • Particles spiral downward into collection hopper
  • Cleaned air reverses direction and exits through the center tube

Application Configurations

Standalone Operation

  • Effective for large particle collection
  • Ideal for product recovery applications
  • Low maintenance requirements
  • Minimal pressure drop

Pre-filter Configuration

  • Used before baghouses or other filters
  • Reduces load on final filtration stage
  • Extends filter life
  • Lowers maintenance costs
